Exclusive: Rapper Erica Banks Will Appear On Upcoming Season Of ‘Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta’

Erica Banks can add “reality TV star” to her résumé!

theJasmineBrand exclusively reports that rapper Erica Banks, 24, will allegedly be making an appearance on the upcoming season of “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” and she has already started filming with the cast. According to our sources, it’s speculated that Erica Banks will be introduced on the show as a close friend of main cast member Sierra Gates. The ladies have already proven they have great chemistry on screen earlier this month when the “Buss It” artist appeared on an episode of Sierra Gates’ “Ghetto Girlz Eat” YouTube cooking series.

It’s unclear how many episodes Erica Banks will appear in for Season 11 of the popular reality series, however, insiders have revealed to us she was there for filming the night her friend Sierra got into a heated dispute with cast regular/rapper Lil Scrappy, 39. The verbal dispute between the co-stars took place last week reportedly outside of an Atlanta-based restaurant and lounge. During the argument, Lil Scrappy allegedly called Sierra Gates a “b*tch” and she fired back saying at least she’s a rich one.

Prior to the night going south, we’re told Erica Banks was all smiles as she partied alongside her new co-stars inside the establishment. Images have since surfaced online of Banks next to “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” stars Scrappy, Yung Joc, 42, and (a woman that appears to be) Erica Mena, 39, the same night the verbal altercation occurred.

Following the crazy night out, Sierra left a comment under one of Banks’ Instagram posts, letting her know she “had a blast” with the Texas native.

“Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” initially premiered in 2012, on VH1. The series has featured many notable players in the music scene, including K. Michelle, 41, Stevie J, 51, and Rasheeda, 46. It was recently announced that the series has been moved to MTV and will follow a more “docu approach to storytelling.” Season 11 is set to kick off this summer.

Exclusive: SWV Set To Release New Music To Celebrate 30th Anniversary

Are you ready for some new music from SWV?

theJasmineBRAND exclusively reports that the R&B group is gearing up to release a new project! According to our sources, the ladies of SWV will be dropping a single to celebrate their 30th anniversary in the music game. The single will be a part of a new EP from the group and it’s expected that all three will be singing lead on the project. Insiders also shared Brian A Morgan is the producer of the leading single.

The famed record producer is no stranger to working with Cheryl “Coko” Gamble, Tamara “Taj” George, and Leanne “Lelee” Lyons!

He’s one of the masterminds behind the group’s 1992 debut studio album “It’s About Time” and is credited as a producer and writer for many of the songs featured on the project. He also has producing and writing credits on their second studio album “New Beginning” as well as their third project “Release Some Tension.”

SWV has yet to officially give details about their EP, but Coko did recently confirm the group has been back in the studio alongside Morgan. After the “Anything” writer took to his Instagram to shine a light on the SWV tracks that are due for an RIAA update, Coko left a comment and said,

“Now let’s go in the studio and cut this new smash!!!!!!”

Morgan then replied to a fan who questioned if a new album was in the works and shared,

“Not album. Just a song. Lol. That will be part of a new EP!!!”

SWV’s upcoming project is definitely coming at a perfect time! The ladies have been making headlines a lot lately due to their newest reality series “SWV & XSCAPE: The Queens of R&B.” As you may recall, they found themselves at the center of a huge online debate after fans watched their battle with Xscape over who should headline their performance. SWV wanted to be co-headliners, however, the members of Xscape argued they are the more recognizable group and should be the only headliner of the show.

According to some reports, model/actress Eva Marcille recently filed court documents to dissolve her marriage to Michael Sterling, ending their relationship after nearly 5 years.

Reportedly, a court document recently obtained by entertainment publication SandraRose suggests that Eva Marcille, 38, wants out of the relationship. A photo of an alleged divorce document reportedly cites the marriage as being “irretrievably broken” with “no prospects for a reconciliation.” Reportedly, the former “RHOA” star filed the divorce petition on March 23 in the Superior Court of Fulton County in Georgia.

At this time the validity of the image has not been confirmed. Eva Marcille nor her seemingly estranged husband Michael Sterling, 40, have commented publicly on the matter. Additionally, there haven’t seemed to be any indications that the relationship was in jeopardy. The couple shares two sons together, Michael Todd Sterling Jr. and Maverick. Marcille also shares a daughter with her ex, rapper Kevin McCall, named Marley Rae.

Judging from social media, the former reality TV couple seems to be in good standing. Back in February, Michael Sterling penned a sweet Valentine’s day message to his wife. Sharing an adorable picture, the entrepreneur captioned the post:

“My forever Valentine. “I am so in love with you that there isn’t anything else.” Happy St. Valentine’s Day. #thesterlings”

EXCLUSIVE: Headkrack’s Exit From “The Morning Hustle” Radio Show Was A Mutual Decision, Media Personality Working On New Projects

theJasmineBRAND exclusively reports, new details surrounding a shakeup at Radio One and Reach Media’s “The Morning Hustle”. The show’s co-host, Headkrack, has quietly left the show. Sources tell us that despite rumors that he quit and/or was fired it was a “mutual decision” that he exit.

Headkrack explains,

“There was a fork in the road , and I chose the spork”.

While the specifics of why he left haven’t been shared, we’re told that there was a difference of opinion with some elements of the show. Sources also tell us that there are other career opportunities that he wants to explore. “He’s working on some new major projects”, an insider tells us.

Exclusive: ‘Xscape’s’ LaTocha Scott Working On Solo Gospel Album

LaTocha Scott is gearing up to put out a solo project!

theJasmineBRAND exclusively reports that Xscape’s LaTocha Scott, 49, will be releasing her very own gospel album next year! According to our sources, the project will be under Motown Gospel and will be released to the public in early 2023. Our insiders shared that this solo project doesn’t mean LaTocha is leaving Xscape and, despite their most recent drama, she still wants to be a part of the famed R&B girl group.

It may come as no surprise that LaTocha is branching off to do her own thing. Sources tell us that on her upcoming Bravo reality show centered around Xscape and SWV, she mentioned putting out music without her group members.

As you may already know, Xscape is an iconic ’90s supergroup that’s comprised of singers Kandi Burruss, 46, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, 47, and sisters LaTocha and Tamika Scott, 47. The ladies made headlines earlier this month following a red carpet appearance at this year’s BET Soul Train Awards. During the ceremony, fans couldn’t help but notice LaTocha’s red carpet attire was drastically different from what her groupmates were wearing. It’s still unclear how the wardrobe mishap occurred, but Kandi Burruss claimed LaTocha used her own stylist and refused to work with the group to coordinate outfits. However, LaTocha claimed the other Xscape ladies purposely left her stylist out of the outfit planning.

LaTocha has also explained why she’s not currently touring with her group, claiming a promoter threatened her husband. In a previous post, she shared,

“The reason I am not doing the tour is because the promoter the girls are on tour with threatened my husband’s life. The promoter was initially brought to the table by my husband for a few shows. Two of the ladies had COVID on the show dates, so my sister and I performed alone in ATL and the other show we had to pull out of. That’s where the deal went left over a situation that could have been resolved!!”

“LOVE is a beautiful thing. While we both will always have love for one another, we have decided to go our separate ways. No one is to blame, and we are grateful that we remain good friends. We will always cherish the many memories we’ve shared together as husband and wife.”

They added,

“Many of you have been on this journey with us from the very beginning, and we appreciate our family, friends and beloved fans for your positive support as we move forward and start new chapters. Thank you for your prayers and well wishes!”

An insider also spoke on their separation and noted that they’ve been having issues for a while now. The source said,

“Cynthia and Mike have been having issues for a while and tried working on things but weren’t able to come to a resolution. The two have been busy with work and it wasn’t easy on their relationship.”

RHOA star Kandi Burruss is one season away from becoming the longest-standing housewife across all franchises. As you may already know, season 14 of “RHOA” has wrapped and the series is in the middle of airing its 3-part reunion special. Following part 1 of the special, some viewers speculated that this may be Kandi Burruss’ final season because she wasn’t sitting directly next to reunion host Andy Cohen. Fans of the Bravo franchise believe that the leading housewives normally sit on the left and right of Andy Cohen.

However, according to Kandi, that’s not necessarily true. During a recent interview, she said,

“the seat next to Andy is not about who has the most seniority or who’s making the most coin or who’s the most important, it’s about who was in the most mess that particular season.”

Even though the cast for season 15 hasn’t officially been revealed yet, reports claim they will begin filming soon and Kandi has returned – giving her the title of the longest-standing housewife.
