Kim Kardashian Breaks Down While Speaking On Co-parenting Issues w/ Kanye West: It’s Really F*cking Hard
Kim Kardashian broke down in tears while speaking on the challenges of co-parenting with Kanye West following their split.
In a new interview, reality star Kim Kardashian opened up to Angie Martinez on the struggles of raising four kids with ex-husband Kanye West on an episode of the “Angie Martinez IRL” podcast.
During their conversation, Kim Kardashian explained how she makes a conscious effort to keep her kids away from the “Donda” rapper’s controversies while trying to keep a positive attitude in the midst of it all. However, the Skims founder said that co-parenting with Kanye West is a serious struggle.
In regards to co-parenting with the Yeezy designer, Kardashian admitted,
“It’s really f*cking hard.”
After Kardashian revealed that her four children aren’t aware that their famous father has continued to make headlines for his troubling remarks, she became very emotional as she expressed that she hopes to give her kids the same great memories with their dad that her father gave to her.
Kardashian, who was very close to her late father, attorney Robert Kardashian, shared
“I had the best dad, and I had the best memories and the greatest experience and that’s all I want for my kids as long as they can have that.”
She continued,
“That’s what I would want for them. If they don’t know the things that are being said or what’s happening in the world, why would I ever bring that energy to them? That’s really heavy grown-up sh*t that they’re not ready to deal with.”
Kardashian then shared through more tears that she hopes when her kids discover the truth later in life, they thank her for not bashing their A-list celebrity father. She explained,
“One day my kids will thank me for sitting here and not bashing their dad when I could. All the crazy sh*t. They’ll thank me and I’ll privately answer anything that they want to know. It’s not my place anymore to jump in.”
Kardashian continued and told Angie Martinez,
“I definitely protected him [Kanye] and I still will in the eyes of my kids for my kids. In my home, my kids don’t know anything that goes on on the outside world … I’m holding on by a thread.”
She added,
“I know I’m so close to that not happening. While that’s still happening, I will protect that to the ends of the earth as long as I can.”
As previously reported, Kardashian, 42, and West, 45, have been in the headlines a lot lately due to their recent divorce. The former couple initially married in 2014 and share four children together; North (9), Saint (7), Chicago (4), and Psalm (3). Kardashian filed for divorce in February 2021 and the two became legally single in March 2022.
Since their separation, West has called Kardashian out multiple times online over their children. Earlier this year, the rapper accused his ex-wife of trying to kidnap their 4-year-old daughter Chicago after the “Kardashians” star allegedly didn’t give him the address for her birthday party.
More recently, West has been vocal about Kardashian moving on amid their divorce and even suggested the TV personality should choose to marry NFL legend, Tom Brady. West said in a previous interview,
“Marry somebody great. Go marry Tom Brady, whatever you want to do but get married and use your platform as an influence to keep families together. Don’t let the devil use you.”
