R. Kelly Says He’s ‘Scared For His Life’ Amid Claims Of Medical Negligence While In Prison: I’m not supposed to die this way!

R. Kelly is accusing prison medical staff of being negligent when it comes to his health.

In audio obtained by RapHouseTV, R. Kelly can be heard expressing his concerns about the lack of medical attention he has been receiving. He accuses the prison medical staff of being negligent and not taking his condition seriously. The singer previously had surgery on his Achilles tendon to treat his blood clot issues.

During the leaked phone call, R. Kelly said he’s “scared for his life” and that animals get treated better than him.

He explained,

“I don’t deserve to die because somebody miscommunicated or somebody took a guess at what’s going on with my leg. I’m not supposed to die this way. You’re not even supposed to take a chance on that.”

He continued,

“Because if it was your child, if it was your father, if it was your mother, somebody you loved, you would’ve said, ‘Go to the doctor. We need to get that checked out. We need to look at that. We need to X-ray that.’”

He added,

“They didn’t even X-ray. And that’s why I’m speaking out on this, because I’m scared for my life in that area. And who wouldn’t be. They treat animals better than that.”

As previously reported, a Chicago courtroom sentenced the three-time Grammy-Award winner to 20 years behind bars in February on charges of child pornography and enticement of a minor. The 2-decade sentencing came after he was previously given a 30-year prison sentence for his 2021 conviction on racketeering and sex trafficking charges in a New York federal court.

In March, R. Kelly’s lawyer, Jennifer Bonjean spoke publicly about the singers’ complaints about the medical care he was receiving at Chicago’s Metropolitan Correctional Center.

Bonjean told ABC7 at the time:

“It’s not just because it’s R. Kelly. Every prison deserves medical attention, medical care. The MCC is required to address these things in a competent fashion.”

Motown Founder Berry Gordy Files $10M Lawsuit Over Fiction Film That Shows Him Putting A Hit Out On Rival Exec

It looks like Berry Gordy isn’t playing any games when it comes to his reputation.

The legendary music executive has filed a $10 million lawsuit over a film that allegedly portrays him in a negative light.

According to RadarOnline, Berry Gordy is suing Timothy Bogart — the son of late music exec Neil Bogart — Hero Entertainment and Universal City Entertainment Group over a 2023 film called Spinning Gold.

Gordy says that Spinning Gold was produced by Timothy Bogart and focuses on his father Neil Bogart’s record label Casablanca Records. According to the record exec, Timothy has said this about the film:

“Every bit of it is true, even the parts that aren’t.”

However, Gordy claims the film creates false narratives and paints him in a negative light. According to the lawsuit, the film created a,

“made-up storyline in which Gordy is wrongfully and dishonestly portrayed as a thug and a mobster who goes so far as to order a murder for hire. The Picture is unlikely to be a commercial or artistic success. However, the picture does succeed in defaming and otherwise causing great damage to Gordy.”

Berry Gordy claims the film portrays him as a gangster and a thug. He alleges one scene, in particular, had him “putting a hit out” on Neil,

“purportedly because Casablanca Records lured the Isley Brothers and Gladys Knight away from Motown to join the anemic roster of artists at Casablanca.”

The suit reads,

“None of this is true and [Gordy] is not, and has never, associated with criminals or criminal behavior, and there certainly was never any solicitation of murder by, or, on the part of, [Gordy].”

It continues,

“The negative portrayals of [Gordy] and the insertion of the scene concerning Plaintiff “putting out a hit” is a vile, reckless and baseless character assassination in the desperate attempt to create drama where non exists in a lackluster Picture. This wrongful and illegal content in the Picture has caused severe damage to [Gordy] and to [Gordy’s reputation].”

One thing’s for sure, Beyoncé’s dancers don’t play about her!

As you may already know, Beyoncé is currently traveling the world for her ‘Renaissance’ tour. The “Energy” singer has yet to make it to the States but concertgoers overseas have been having the time of their lives as they pack stadiums to see the superstar in person. Earlier this week Beyoncé made headlines after a video from her Amsterdam show surfaced online that seemingly displayed a crew member missing their cue to help her down from a stage prop. At one point during the footage, the multi-Grammy Award winner mouthed “Oh my God!” at her staff as they worked to rectify the problem.

During Beyoncé’s latest tour stop in Hamburg, another mishap occurred onstage, but, this time around, her dancer stepped in before things went south.

In the now-viral footage of the incident, Beyoncé wore a hot pink sequin dress as she performed her hit tune “Break My Soul.” As the entertainer danced her dress started to move out of place, slightly exposing what appeared to be her nipple cover. Thankfully, one of the Les Twins noticed the issue and wasted no time covering Beyoncé so he could fix her wardrobe. The exchange happened so fast that it almost went unnoticed. However, another concertgoer shared a different angle of the moment which better displayed the Les Twins’ quick thinking.

Cardi B Slams Tasha K Over ‘Disgusting’ Comments About Takeoff’s Death + Claims Blogger Is ‘Hiding Money In Africa’ To Avoid Paying $4M Defamation Debt 

It looks like Cardi B and Tasha K’s beef has reignited.

It all began on Tuesday (June 20) when Cardi B publicly criticized the stepson of the British billionaire who’s aboard the missing Titanic submersible, saying it was wrong for him to attend a Blink-182 concert amid the crisis.

The rapper said in an Instagram video,

“You supposed to be at the house sad.”

Tasha K caught wind of Cardi B’s comments and felt as though the entertainer was being hypocritical. She took to her own social media account and criticized the way Cardi B handled her grief when Migos rapper Takeoff died.

“Wasn’t she posting guns right after Takeoff died? And on the internet, cutting up not long after his sudden takeoff? I’m just asking….Everyone grieves diff….”

Takeoff was fatally shot in Houston, Texas in November.

On Wednesday (June 21), the New York rapper shared a screenshot of Tasha K‘s comment and had a message of her own.

“…to bring up Takeoff to prove a fake a** point is disgusting. I lost weight, I couldn’t eat, I couldn’t sleep, me and my man STILL dealing wit that to to this day. I’m a rapper, we targeted all the time so of course I have guns for protection.”

She continued,

“But since you wanna be funny for comments, ima make sure your kid don’t go to college. You think my lawyers don’t know you hiding money in Africa? Ima make sure I get every red cent of my 4 mill. DONT EVER PUT TAKEOFF NAME IN YA MOUTH.”

In 2022, Cardi B won a $4 million judgment against Tasha K who was ultimately held liable for defamation, invasion of privacy, and intentional infliction of emotional distress after posting negligent YouTube content about the rapper.

Making matters worse, Taska K took to social media on Thursday (June 22) to issue a sarcastic apology to Cardi B and her fans. She claimed that their years-long legal battle distracted the “Bodak Yellow” rapper from putting out her sophomore album and that Cardi has upset her record label.

She said in part,

“I wanna send a send a sincere apology out to #bardigang. It’s my fault as to why y’all don’t have a 2nd album. She’s been in court with me for 6 years distracted from her purpose. Now going in 7. Atlantic is broke and won’t help pay for a 2nd album, Offfset in court fighting to release an album and my sis-in-law sold her rights to her catalog off too early in her career. “

The Youtuber ends by promoting Ice Spice’s upcoming “Barbie World” track which is a collab with Cardi’s (suspected) rival Nicki Minaj.

Did your fav rapper make this year’s XXL Freshman Class list?

The famed annual list is known for backing rising rappers that the world should be watching. Since 2007, the publication has shared its views on which new members of Hip Hop will more than likely leave a long-lasting impression in the music world. Past features on the rundown have included Kendrick Lamar, Latto, Megan Thee Stallion, Dave East, ??J. Cole, and the late Nipsey Hussle. All of the mentioned artists have gone on to have very successful rap careers.

For this year’s class, XXL had to narrow down over 80 possible features to the 12 stars who ultimately made the cut. According to the publication, the selected rappers were picked based on their “undeniable impact.” With that being said, it may come as no surprise that GloRilla made the list! The 23-year-old Memphis native quickly became a household name following the release of her 2022 song “F.N.F. (Let’s Go).”

Another female rapper featured this year is Lola Brooke. She released her breakout single “Don’t Play with It” in 2021. However, the track blew up the following year after it went viral on TikTok. Since then, Lola Brooke, 29, has signed to Arista Records and was featured on the remix of Ciara’s song “Da Girls,” alongside Lady London.

Finesse2tymes also made the cut! The 31-year-old hails from Memphis, Tennessee. Similar to Lola Brooke, he also had a song, “Overdose,” go viral on TikTok. To date, the tune has been used almost 90k times by users of the video-sharing app.

This year’s Freshman Class doesn’t just include rappers from America. British artist Central Cee has scored a spot as well. The 25-year-old rapper rose to stardom in 2020 with the release of his singles “Day in the Life” and “Loading.” In 2022 he dropped his hit track “Doja.”

The 2023 XXL Freshman Class also includes Rob49, 24, Fridayy, 23, 2Rare, 22, SleazyWorld Go, 25, Real Boston Richey, 26, Luh Tyler, 17, and TiaCorine, 29.

Latto Explains Why She Continues To Keep Boyfriend’s Identity Hidden: ‘Everything Else Has To Be Front & Center In My Life’

Latto has finally shared why she likes to keep her relationship under wraps with her mystery man.

During a new interview, rapper Latto opened up about her decision to keep her boyfriend’s identity private. The 24-year-old entertainer also explained why maintaining a low-profile relationship is vital for her. Latto, real name, Alyssa Stephens, said,

“If something is special to me, I’m going to keep it close to me because everything else has to be front and center about my life.”

The “Big Energy” rapper then shared that although her unknown beau has surprised her at one of her shows before, “it’s not a consistent thing” that he does regularly, noting the importance of her privacy. She said,

“I think we find the beauty in separation sometimes because it makes us miss each other. My privacy is more important [than seeing him in the crowd]. I can’t have people putting two and two together. This is the longest relationship I’ve ever been in.” 

While she’s never confirmed her partner’s name, Latto has reportedly known him since she was a teenager. When speaking on the importance of having time for herself, she explained,

“I let him have his time and he lets me have mine. We trust each other,” 

She continued,

“When he’s at home, like now, he’s probably gambling with his friends. I let him do him. We’ve built that trust, and I think people will probably be caught off guard or shocked at who I am in a relationship versus my public persona.”

Rumors that the fellow rappers are an item were fueled after fans noticed Latto’s ear tattoo that looks a lot like 21 Savage’s legal first name. The ink was spotted on a previously posted video of Latto getting her hair styled.

As previously reported, Latto seemingly has the word “sheya” tattooed behind her earlobe. The initial image that surfaced online doesn’t show the entire tat. However, many have assumed it’s related to 21 Savage’s real name, Shéyaa Abraham-Joseph.

However, back in December, 21 addressed his own dating situation, claiming he doesn’t “have a celebrity girlfriend.” While on a Clubhouse session, the “Her Loss” maker said,

Rapper YNW Melly just suffered a loss in court.

According to reports, the 24-year-old is once again at risk of losing his life after a court judge denied his motion for the case to be dismissed as a mistrial.

Reportedly, attorneys for YNW Melly, legal name Jamell Maurice Demons, requested the case be thrown out following a chaotic testimony from the mother of the rapper’s ex-girlfriend Mariah Hamilton given last Thursday (Jun. 15). In case you’re unfamiliar, the musician is accused of fatally gunning down two of his friends/crew members YNW Juvy and YNW Sakchaser back in October of 2018. The report states that Felicia Holmes, who took the stand as a witness for the prosecution, is suspected of having first-hand knowledge about the murders. During her testimony, prosecutors reportedly shared an Instagram message sent by Holmes, suggesting she was offered a bribe not to testify in the case.

“The promises that were made to us by YNW for me to quit my job & they would take care of us were all lies. They didn’t want us talking with prosecutors but now they have all disappeared.”

And continued:

“I quit my job based on whatTrack & his or company said now look. We can’t go home. We spending all my money I worked for & they taking trips & enjoying life. If you think I was a beast before. Wait until this trial. I’m not holding anything back…They can call me Mz Snitch B*tch”

Despite the threatening message, however, it seems Holmes sang a different tune when she took the stand. According to reports, the court judge ruled her a “hostile witness” after she showed disdain for the prosecution, who she claimed ruined her life by making her testify. Following her testimony, Melly’s legal team reportedly motioned the judge for a mistrial, calling the hearing a “prejudicial fiasco” and claiming the prosecution failed to adhere to a court ruling about having Holmes read “out-of-court statements.” Ultimately, the judge denied the mistrial motion.

Reportedly, the trial is set to continue over the next few weeks as a jury deliberates whether or not Melly is guilty of double murder. He remains at risk of getting the death penalty should he be found guilty.

During Sunday’s “Renaissance” tour stop in Amsterdam, a stage crew member made a mistake that left Beyoncé “pissed,” according to reports.

In a now-viral video, Queen Bey is seen sitting on top of a silver horse during her “Summer Renaissance” performance when a crew member seemingly missed their cue to help her down. When a staff member finally reached up to assist Beyoncé, the singer could be seen pushing his hand away.

At one point, the “Cuff it” singer moved her microphone away to mouth, “Oh, my God!” at the crew members.

It didn’t take long for the clip to go viral and for fans to chime in giving their opinions. Many even speculated that members of her team were fired because of the incident.

One fan joked,

“Beyoncé definitely had a staff meeting immediately after the show.”

Another fan said,

“Getting fired in a foreign country, hope they had a way home.”

Ne-Yo Accused Of Owing $3M In Back Taxes, Singer Hit w/ Tax Lien By IRS

R&B singer Ne-Yo has been hit with a federal tax lien accusing him of owing the IRS millions of dollars in unpaid taxes.

According to RadarOnline, the IRS filed a federal tax lien accusing Ne-Yo, born Shaffer Smith, of owing a total of $3,166,811.68 for 2020. On top of that, the 43-year-old singer and his ex-wife, Crystal Renay, were hit with a lien by design company Crowe Custom Countertops for property work done in Alpharetta, Georgia.

In addition, the former couple is reportedly facing a separate lien of over $4,000 owed to the City of Atlanta for taxes.

Back in January, the two officially finalized their divorce after seven years of marriage. As part of the settlement, Crystal Renay was reportedly awarded $1.6 million for real estate holdings, $150,000 for a new car, $12,000 a month in child support for their three shared children, and $5,000 monthly alimony for the next three years.

Update: Bebe Rexha Attacker Says He Hurled Phone At Singer’s Face Because He Felt ‘It Would Be Funny,’ Fan Charged w/ Assault & Aggravated Harassment

Update: (Jun. 20): A concertgoer’s horrible sense of humor has landed them in jail.

Over the weekend, a cell phone was thrown at Bebe Rexha’s face by a male fan during her NYC concert. Following the crazy incident, Bebe Rexha had to get stitches and was left with a severely bruised eye. The 27-year-old man — named Nicolas Malvagn — was ultimately charged with intentionally throwing the device at Bebe Rexha, and we now know why he made such a foolish decision.

According to the Manhattan District Attorney’s office, Malvagn said he threw the phone because,

“I was trying to see if I could hit her with the phone at the end of the show because it would be funny.”

He was reportedly charged with two counts of assault in the third degree, one count of harassment in the second degree, one count of aggravated harassment in the second degree, and a count of attempted assault in the third degree.

Original story: (Jun. 19): Singer Bebe Rexha is recovering after a fan hit her in the face with a phone.

The crazy incident went down in NYC during her set at Pier 17 on Sunday (Jun. 18). Towards the end of Bebe Rexha’s performance a fan unexpectedly threw their phone right at the “I’m Good” artist’s face. Footage of the ordeal showed Bebe Rexha, 33, dropping to the ground in pain moments after she was hit. Her team then rushed to her side and removed her from the stage.

Today, (Jun. 19) Bebe Rexha, born Bleta Rexha, shared the injuries she obtained due to the phone-throwing-event. The entertainer was left with a gruesome black eye and received stitches. However, despite the injuries appearing to be painful, she captioned the post,

“I’m good.”

According to reports, the person responsible for throwing the device, a 27-year-old male, was taken into police custody. At this time it’s unclear why he intentionally hurled the object on stage. Unfortunately, Bebe Rexha isn’t the only musical artist who has had to deal with an unruly fan. As previously reported, last October Steve Lacy made headlines after smashing a disposable camera that was thrown at him by a concertgoer.

Also, in February rapper GloRilla had a drink thrown at her by an upset fan who was disappointed she didn’t perform during a club appearance. And on a scarier note, in March Rihanna’s residence was invaded by an overzealous fan who traveled over 30 hours to propose to the singer. Thankfully, the man wasn’t able to get to Rihanna and was detained by her security team upon arrival.
