Joseline Hernandez is getting candid about her ethnicity and her latest controversy.

During a recent interview on The Breakfast Club, Joseline Hernandez spoke about being Black and Puerto Rican and how she identifies herself.

She explained,

“I’ve always considered myself a Black woman. But I was born in Puerto Rico and I speak spanish. My first language is spanish. But that doesn’t take away from the fact when I walk in the building, people look at me and say ‘that’s a Black woman.’ So I’ve always been cool and love to be a Black woman.”

She added,

“They be like, [calling me] ‘Afro-Latina,’ no b*tch, I don’t have an afro and I am a Black woman that was born in the island of Puerto Rico that speaks spanish.”

The self-proclaimed Puerto Rican Princess went on to reflect on her physical fight with Amber Rose. As you may recall, the two reality stars recently made headlines after getting into a physical fight on College Hill: Celebrity Edition. The altercation took place following a discussion about race and ethnicity that the cast had inside a classroom at Alabama State University. During the controversial episode, Joseline told Amber,

“You know what your problem is? Your problem is that you really wanna be a white girl.”

Because the dispute took place on the campus of an HBCU, the full fight wasn’t shown. However, the footage did show Amber Rose taking the first swing. Both ladies were ultimately expelled from the campus.

During her latest interview, Joseline further explained her issues with Amber Rose and claimed the model doesn’t want to be Black. She said,

“We were talking about the Black sh*t, being Black and I just had to let the b*tch know, b*tch you don’t wanna be Black…You came out of a Black p**ssy but you don’t wanna say you Black, that’s weird to me. That’s so weird to me, I don’t care what your color is. I always thought she considered herself Black until I really seen that she was a Karen.”

While Amber Rose has remained mostly quiet about the physical altercation, she did respond to criticism that she was denying being Black. In an Instagram Story, Rose addressed her naysayers.

She wrote,

“Bruh the Internet is remedial as f*ck.. y’aIl know exactly what I was saying as a mixed person about not fitting in anywhere on BOTH SIDES now y’all wanna act like I hate being in black spaces GTFOH!”

She added,

“The internet is trying to bully me because I’m BLACK AND WHITE ???? WTF IS WRONG WITH YALL????”

Tyler Perry Reportedly ‘Balking’ At $3B Asking Price For BET Sale

It looks like Tyler Perry is becoming apprehensive when it comes to purchasing BET.

Media mogul Tyler Perry is struggling with the idea of coughing up $3 billion in order to secure a buyout of the Black Entertainment Television network, reports claim.

As we covered at the start of this year, Paramount announced plans to sell BET, sparking a massive response from big names in the media and entertainment world. The “Diary of A Mad Black Woman” star immediately expressed great interest in buying the BET Group, which includes BET, VH1, and the BET streaming service BET+.

Fellow moguls 50 Cent, Diddy, and Byron Allen also shared they’re interested in taking BET’s helm. However, back in April, Tyler Perry made it very clear he’s willing to do what it takes to come out on top and win the acquisition, telling reporters:

“I’ve been there for four years now and had tremendous success. I wasn’t expecting this to happen, so, yes — if that is possible, I’m very, very interested in taking as much of it…If it’s possible, I’m gonna take as much of it as I can.”

While there is some competition, Tyler Perry is considered the frontrunner in the network sale. The filmmaker already owns a 25% stake in BET and BET+ and has private equity backing for his offer. The 53-year-old entertainer has also produced several original scripted series for the network. Perry played a major part in helping BET launch its subscription service BET+ back in 2019, which has seen much success.

Despite all of this, it now looks like Perry might be second-guessing his latest aspiration. According to an insider close to the deal, Perry has “balked” at the $3 billion asking price by BET Group’s current owner, Paramount. Adding to his frustrations is a retracted article by the entertainment website The Streamr, which (wrongfully) stated that the producer had already purchased the network.

The insider claimed,

“He is used to getting his way and is frustrated.”

Reportedly, Paramount wants roughly 10 times the BET Group’s current $325 million in earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization. However, people are leaving cable behind and instead are turning to streaming services, which could jeopardize future earnings.

According to public findings, Paramount Global — which includes CBS, MTV, Paramount Pictures, and Paramount+ streaming service — had $15.6 billion in long-term debt as of March. The source said anything below the $3 billion price would not reduce Paramount Global’s debt.

Paramount and Tyler Perry have yet to comment on the matter.

Issa Rae isn’t planning on popping out babies any time soon.

In a new interview with radio host Big Tigger at the Big Tigger Morning Show, actress Issa Rae, 38, shared her views on having children at the current stage of her life. During their conversation, the Insecure star revealed that getting pregnant is a “fear” for her because it could impact her career.

“I don’t want to be slowed down for any reason. And, my friends are like, ‘Girl, it’s not gone slow you down it’s fine.’ But I don’t believe them.” 

Fans have since begun to weigh in on the entertainer’s remarks via Instagram comments. Many social media users appear to agree with Issa Rae’s sentiments on the struggle of balancing a career and motherhood.

Jacky Oh’s Plastic Surgeon Criticized For Disabling Comments & Failing To Mention The Late Entertainer While Speaking Out For The First Time Since Her Passing

The surgeon at the center of Jacky Oh’s recent passing has finally released a statement.

Nearly three weeks after the entertainer passed away – seemingly following a plastic surgery procedure – the performing doctor, Dr. Zach Okhah is speaking out.

In a lengthy instagram post, the Miami based doctor wrote:

“To all my past, current and prospective patients, PH-1 Miami remains devoted to the highest quality medical care. All aesthetic procedures are performed in a hygienically safe environment to universally recognized medical standards. I am relentlessly committed to advancing techniques in the realm of plastic surgery.”

He continued:

“Most importantly, my staff and I ensure that each patient is vetted, prepped and treated according to their individual patient history prior to any surgery. Our mission is to help our patients achieve the best possible results in the safest and most medically appropriate way possible.”

Dr. Zach disabled the comments section of both his personal page and his clinic’s page, though it is unclear at what point this was done. It didn’t take long for social media users to react to the post. Some seemed to understand the provisions the medical professional put in place so that he’s not bombarded with hate messages upon returning to social media. As we’ve previously reported, Okhah has been heavily suspected and scrutinized of potentially being responsible for Jacky’s death.

Prior to her passing, the former Wild N’ Out model posted a picture with the Dr., sharing that she was headed to Miami for a procedure dubbed a “mommy makeover”. Jacky and longtime partner DC Young Fly share three young children together Nova, 6, Nala, 2, and a son Prince’Nehemiah they welcomed around this time last year.

After her death, Dr. Zach’s history of suing patients who claimed he “botched” their procedures came to light, leading many to voice their concerns over how he handled Jacky . Users debated the issue in theJasmineBrand’s comments section with many varied opinions.

As far as cause of death, no official word has been released. The latest report only shared that the 32-year-old was found unresponsive by hotel staff and was rushed to the hospital before being pronounced dead. We will continue to update as more information comes forward.

Ryan Seacrest has still remained booked and busy since he stopped working alongside Kelly Ripa and it seems like he’s about to add another major role to his schedule. According to reports, the famed correspondent is a strong candidate to take over the “Wheel of Fortune” hosting duties. News recently broke that the current host, Pat Sajak, will be retiring at the end of the 41st season.

In a statement, Pat Sajak expressed,

Disney Announces Animated Series Inspired By Halle Bailey’s ‘The Little Mermaid’ Remake

Disney is preparing to release a new series for preschoolers inspired by Halle Bailey’s “The Little Mermaid.”

According to reports, Disney Branded Television has given the green light for the animated series “Disney Junior’s Ariel,” which is based on the live-action film “The Little Mermaid” starring Halle Bailey. The announcement was made yesterday (June 13) during the Annecy International Film Festival in Annecy, France.

The new series is currently in the works at Disney Junior and will follow a younger version of Princess Ariel. Fans can expect to see new characters on screen along with the beloved well-known characters from the movie, including; King Triton, Ursula, Sebastian, and Flounder.

While making the announcement, Ayo Davis, president of Disney Branded Television said,

“For more than 30 years, the story of ‘The Little Mermaid’ has been beloved by audiences all over the world. It brings me so much joy to be able to introduce our new Disney Junior version of Ariel to preschoolers everywhere.”

The series is set to take place in the underwater kingdom of Atlantica as Ariel goes on educated, fun-packed adventures with her friends. Reportedly, “Disney Junior’s Ariel” will highlight Caribbean culture throughout the series through music, food, festivals, fashion, language, and folklore.

Similar to the classic Disney film, Ariel’s curiosity about the world leads her to new discoveries such as land treasures, which she uses to help solve problems. In addition, young Ariel’s emotions will reflect through her mermaid tail by changing colors.

“Disney Junior’s Ariel” will debut on Disney platforms worldwide in 2024.

The success of the live-action adaptation of Halle Bailey’s “The Little Mermaid” may have set the tone for the new Disney Junior series.

Model Jessica White Pens Emotional Message To Ex Nick Cannon, Seemingly Alluding TV Host Is Upset She Joined Cast Of ‘Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’: ‘I Gave Eight Ride Or Die Years To You’

Jessica White had plenty to say regarding her past relationship with her ex Nick Cannon.

On Tuesday (June 13) well-known model Jessica White shared a lengthy message for her former longtime lover Nick Cannon on Instagram. At the beginning of the post, White hinted that she’s unable to get in contact with the “Wild ‘N Out” host by directly mentioning the entertainer and referring to her long caption as a “book.”

Jessica White seemingly alluded that Nick Cannon is icing her out because he’s upset that she will be on the upcoming season of “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta.”  She also spoke on her healing journey following her split from Cannon.

In the caption, White seemingly spoke on the time she found out Cannon was having another baby with Brittany Bell via Instagram while she was still living with him. She said,

“Tried to reach out to you but here’s my book @nickcannon I know you’re upset about the show but after eight years I can’t stand when things catch you off guard and I feel like you deserve way more respect as a man even though I may be more respectful than you ever gave me With public announcements. .”

Further into the message, the fashion model mentioned that she devoted years to the relationship, despite Cannon’s lack of reciprocation. White continued,

“Lol I have loved and I gave eight ride or die years to you With my head high and heart praying you’d see me the way I deserved. I wanted it to work, prayed every day that you’d see me and love me the way that I loved you. Maybe you did but just kept it from me during the relationship. I walked away with more questions than anything, I don’t know till this day really why current things had to happen.”

White then noted that she and Cannon didn’t know how to properly love one another and as a result, caused each other pain.

“the truth is NC and I were both beautifully broken when we were children and didn’t know how to love each other. Instead we hurt each other. Instead we learned how to hurt each other and found peace with who and what we were doing and it wasn’t healthy for anyone involved. We were the perfect storm for each other and no one would back down.” 

At one point in the caption, the 38-year-old actress addressed what her life has been like since parting ways from Cannon and learning how to forgive. She shared,

“And for the first time since I fell in love with you years ago I find myself being extremely happy and hopeful and I liking a boy who makes me smile like a little girl. It’s new to me And I love that I’m feeling excited again and not scared or blocking my own happiness. thank God!”

Wrapping up her remarks, she said,

“I’m ending us with a Big Bang and I’m not scared to say the truth nor will I let you take the blame for us needing to end we were toxic together and I was very disrespectful verbally towards you many many times and sometimes I didn’t even care knowing how you hated verbal dysfunction I know” 

White ended with,

“@nickcannon nick we did our best and that’s enough for me”

The drama between White and Cannon appears to be something new. Just last month the “Drumline” star revealed he was still in love with White during an interview with Hollywood Unlocked’s Jason Lee. On top of calling White “beautiful” and his “muse,” the father-of-12 said,

“That woman has overcome so much, and is just a light and an angel to so many, who operates on a higher frequency.”

Tyler Perry’s Rumored Deal To Purchase BET Has Seemingly Not Been Finalized, Despite Reports

There seems to be some confusion about whether or not BET has found its new owner.

Media mogul Tyler Perry made headlines earlier today (June 13th) after a now-retracted report alleged that he signed a deal to become the sole owner of the giant production company.

As we covered at the start of this year, Paramount announced plans to sell the Black Entertainment Network, sparking a massive response from big names in the media and entertainment world. Tyler Perry, along with fellow moguls 50 Cent, Diddy, and Byron Allen all reportedly expressed interest in taking BET’s helm. Back in April, the “Madea” franchise creator made it very clear he intended on pursuing the acquisition, telling reporters:

“I’ve been there for four years now and had tremendous success. I wasn’t expecting this to happen, so, yes — if that is possible, I’m very, very interested in taking as much of it…If it’s possible, I’m gonna take as much of it as I can.”

The 53-year-old entertainer already has a relationship with BET and has produced several original scripted series for the network.

Perry also played a major part in helping BET launch its subscription service BET+ back in 2019, which has seen much success. This explains why when media outlet The Streamr first posted their article about the alleged purchase, the story quickly gained steam. However, as Huffington Post reporter Phil Lewis explained, the article was subsequently removed from The Streamr’s site as it’s likely a deal has not been finalized. Lewis wrote:

“The Tyler Perry buying BET “report” is not a largely consequential thing but it is worth pointing out what separates news outlets from blogs and the like: corrections”

Adding:

“The Streamr simply pulled down the original report: no correction, or explanation or anything. Several blogs have done the same, or just left the story up. They’re under no obligation to do so”

It does not seem that Perry nor any reps from BET have commented about the rumors at this time.

Uzo Aduba made a huge announcement over the weekend!

On Sunday (June 11) the ‘Orange Is The New Black’ alum made an appearance at this year’s Tony Awards where she revealed that she is pregnant.

Uzo Aduba made the big reveal by unbuttoning her bright orange suit jacket to show off her baby bump. A rep for Aduba also confirmed the news that she and her husband are expecting.

“The happy couple is over the moon about their growing family and are excited to be parents.”

The Emmy-winning actress also took to her Instagram to share the news with her 2 million followers. Aduba posted a cute video of her holding up baby clothes. She captioned the post,

“What a blessing. My husband Robert and I are so happy to enter this next chapter together as parents. I am beyond excited. I get to be someone’s Mommy! I know as the three of us continue to grow, our only, ONLY goal will be to love you, little one. My goodness. Look what God has done.” 

Uzo Aduba married her film director husband, Robert Sweeting in 2020, however, she kept it a secret and did not reveal her marriage until the following year. In September 2021, Aduba took to her Instagram and opened up about her union. In a heartfelt post, she quoted a line from the movie “When Harry Met Sally.”

She wrote,

“When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible.” —When Harry Met Sally

She continued,

“For some of us, it can feel like we spend our whole lives waiting for our special someone. My heart, my love — I’m so happy my life started last year with you. You’re the best thing that ever happened to me.”

Original story: (Jun. 12, 2023): It looks like Floyd Mayweather and John Gotti III weren’t the only ones involved in a fighting match this weekend!

According to a viral video, reality TV phenomenon Joseline Hernandez and her ‘Joseline’s Cabaret’ alumni, Big Lex, got into a ruthless scuffle at the highly-anticipated Floyd Mayweather vs. John Gotti III exhibition event.

The physical altercation took place on Sunday (Jun. 11) at the FLA Live Arena in Sunrise, Florida, but it’s unclear what (exactly) started the confrontation between Joseline Hernandez and Big Lex.

In the talked-about clip, former ‘Love & Hip Hop’ star Joseline Hernandez can be seen (relentlessly) holding Big Lex in a headlock. The Puerto Rican Princess’ fiancé, Ballistic, (seemingly) is also seen in the footage, initially trying to break her away from the tumultuous fight.

However, Hernandez ultimately continues to hit Lex amid the brutal beatdown, leaving her topless with a detached wig. A piece of the footage shared by legendary boxer Antonio Tarver shows the commentator yelling during the crazy altercation,

“This girl fighting everybody motherf*cking in here, man! Joseline Hernandez. Joseline Hernandez fighting everybody in here!”

Antonio Tarver adds:

“Aye, man, somebody stop that sh*t! Aye, aye! Stop [Joseline Hernandez], man. She’s killing that girl!”

Following Hernandez’s chokehold on Lex, her mate, Ballistic, had some choice words of his own for the rising rapper, calling her a b*tch as he grew more aggressive.

Unfortunately, it didn’t cease there, and the footage shows 36-year-old Hernandez eventually pouncing on Lex again and even going after another woman in the area.
